Epperheimer Incorporated was contracted to remove and replace an existing lead-based coating system on a live high-temperature process tank while maintaining uninterrupted operational activities. The project required precise coordination and execution due to the active service conditions and strict coating recoat windows associated with elevated surface temperatures.
Working alongside ISP Services and utilizing automated robotic ultra-high-pressure (UHP) water blasting technology, our team safely and efficiently removed the existing coating system and applied a new high-performance coating system in carefully controlled phases. Through detailed planning, close coordination, and disciplined execution, the project was completed safely, under budget, and ahead of the projected schedule, allowing follow-on insulation activities to proceed without delay.
